Kari Schaiman

Kari brings a hands-on, highly personal approach to Peninsula real estate. A longtime San Carlos resident with more than 20 years in the Bay Area, Kari knows the communities she serves not simply as an agent, but as a neighbor, homeowner, parent, and active member of the community.

Before entering real estate, Kari worked as a speech-language pathologist—a background that shaped one of her greatest strengths today: understanding people, communicating clearly, and navigating complex situations with patience and perspective. She pairs that with her background in property investment, providing a sharp eye for property value, design, renovation, and the details that can dramatically impact how a home lives, shows, and sells.

For sellers, Kari is exceptionally hands-on, helping clients determine where thoughtful preparation will make the biggest difference. From paint, flooring, repairs, and landscaping to staging, photography, and launch strategy, she coordinates the details from beginning to end. Her goal is not simply to put a home on the market, but to position it intentionally so buyers understand its value.

For buyers, Kari combines local knowledge with careful analysis and straightforward advice. She looks beyond the finishes to help clients understand a property’s condition, potential, neighborhood, resale considerations, and true value—giving them the information and perspective they need to make confident decisions.

Kari works alongside Johnny, offering clients a collaborative, two-agent approach to every transaction. Rather than being handed off between team members, clients benefit from two experienced agents who are both actively involved, bringing complementary strengths, perspectives, and expertise to the process from start to finish.

Together, they provide thoughtful, hands-on guidance across every part of the transaction, from pricing and negotiation to inspections, contractors, design decisions, and the countless details that come with buying or selling a home. Much of Kari’s business is built through relationships and referrals, something she considers one of the greatest compliments in her work. She takes the responsibility of representing someone’s home, money, and next chapter seriously while keeping the experience approachable, organized, and human.

Outside of real estate, Kari is happiest at home in San Carlos with her husband, their two children, and their dogs. Her connection to the Peninsula is personal, and helping people find their own place within it is one of the things she loves most about what she does.
